Eclipse your competition. Own every direction change.
The Yonex Power Cushion Eclipsion 5 is engineered for players who demand maximum stability through every rally — the shoe of choice for players like Stan Wawrinka, built for aggressive movement and confident court coverage on hard courts and beyond. This is a shoe purpose-built for the sudden stops, sharp cuts, and explosive changes in direction that define competitive tennis.
At the core is the newly evolved Power Cushion+ midsole — a TPU structure that creates a quicker rebound, absorbing impact and returning energy to accelerate your next movement and keep you balanced during explosive lateral footwork. A 3D Power Graphite Sheet under the arch works to springboard you forward while reinforcing foot stability, and the updated one-piece outsole features a denser sole pattern for improved control during hard directional changes.
The double Raschel mesh upper, combined with Durable Skin construction and a PU overlay, delivers lightweight breathability while adding drag protection and durability in the high-wear zones where aggressive footwork takes its toll. An inner bootie construction offers heel-to-toe flexibility for a locked-in, comfortable fit, while an interlocking shank and heel counter keep the midfoot and heel secure and protected through every push-off.
Underfoot, Endurance Rubber II in a modified herringbone tread pattern delivers dependable traction and durability across a variety of court surfaces — engineered to hold up for the hard-court grinder who logs serious hours on the court. Real player reviews consistently praise the shoe's premium comfort with zero break-in time and true-to-size fit.
Built for intermediate to advanced players who need multi-directional support — and equally valued by players managing injury recovery who need maximum stability and shock absorption.
